A mysterious statue and a murdered priest send Jules Verne in search of answers and justice. During his investigation, he
encounters an ancient castle, a missing treasure, a flying battleship called the Prometheus, and the beautiful Helene d'Anjou, commander of the Prometheus.
Unbeknowst to Verne, d'Anjou is a confederate of the
League of Darkness, and has instructions to seduce him into joining their efforts to destabilize the North in order to help the Southern Confederacy.
Verne's association with the crew of the Prometheus leads
Phileas, Rebecca, and Passpartout into grave danger as they try to rescue the young man from the clutches of the League.
