Devastated by the loss of Saratoga Browne, Phileas Fogg engages in a series of ever more reckless behaviors. Seeking to
distract him from his suicidal despondency, his friends introduce him to young Al, a 13-year-old boy with a gift for invention. Al has gotten hold of the plans to the Cardinal's Phoenix, and under the supervision of
arms manufacturer Isiah Thrubworth, builds a working version of the time machine.
While Al sees building the Phoenix as a challenge to overcome, Thrubworth has intentions of using the machine as an armored tank:
a weapon for which the world is not yet ready.
Our valiant crew must find a way to stop Thrubworth before he unleashes his new toy on the world.
