Passepartout's dear auntie has passed away, but has left a warning to beware Lazarus.
Trying to learn more, Passepartout and
Verne attend a seance, during which Lazarus, a deranged spirit, takes possession of the valet in order to exact his revenge upon Phileas Fogg, whom he holds responsible for his "death".
While Verne and
Franz Draquot, a neurologist, try to discover a scientific way to return Lazarus to the spiritual realm, the evil spectre continues to wreak havoc. He torments poor Passepartout and takes possession of Rebecca Fogg,
forcing her to shoot the head of the Secret Service and nearly kill Phileas.
It is only though the combined efforts of Draquot, Fogg, Verne, Passepartout and his dead auntie that Lazarus is finally vanquished.
