The Cardinal's Design

Are the Prussians using a secret code based upon the novel "The Three Musketeers"? While Rebecca and Phileas investigate, Jules decides to go straight to the source, his friend, Alexander Dumas, author of the book in question.

Dumas is living in squalor, having spent his fortune building the Phoenix, a machine based upon designs by Cardinal Richelieu. Dumas does not know how the machine works or what it does.

Unfortunately for our heroes, he finds out soon enough when Passepartout accidentally sends his master, Rebecca, and young Verne back in time to 17th century France, where Cardinal Richelieu's vile plans are opposed by D'Artagnan and the Musketeers.
