While in North Africa, Jules appears to have contracted deadly yellow fever. Caught up in his wild hallucinations, Verne
struggles to discern fantasy from reality as his friends do all they can to aid him. A hospital in Corsica seems to offer his best hope, but Phileas is suspicious.
And it turns out, he has good reason to be, for
a healthy recovery is not what the "doctors" have in store for Verne.
